Nikki Schiro is the Founder and Managing Director of Trust Recruiting, where she helps organizations build strong, effective teams through thoughtful, strategic recruiting. With over 25 years of experience in talent strategy, people operations, and organizational development, Nikki is passionate about helping organizations make an immediate and lasting impact through the people they hire.
The best day of the week, she says, is when she gets to extend an offer to a candidate, because it creates real momentum for her clients and truly changes the life of the person stepping into a new opportunity.
Prior to launching Trust Recruiting, Nikki served as Chief Operating Officer at People Architects, where she worked closely with small to mid-sized businesses and nonprofit organizations. In this role, she and her team acted as a fractional HR manager, recruiter, and training partner, supporting organizations that needed expert people leadership but lacked internal resources. This experience shaped Nikki’s practical, hands-on approach and gave her deep insight into the real challenges leaders face when hiring and growing teams.
Earlier in her career, Nikki held leadership roles at Nestlé, PNC Bank, and Bank of America, and began her career at National City. Across these roles, she led high-impact initiatives that strengthened teams, supported leaders through growth and change, and aligned people strategies with organizational goals.
Nikki is deeply connected to the community. Her volunteer experience includes OhioGuidestone Foster Care and 100 Women Who Care, as well as past volunteer work with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, City of Cleveland’s Office of Sustainability and the Cleveland International Film Festival.
Nikki holds a BSBA from John Carroll University and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University. She is a licensed foster parent and the proud mom of two strong, vibrant kids who inspire her every day.
